Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana: Registration started in Delhi, know full details

The registration process for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana has started from December 23 ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal assisted women in registering for the scheme at an event held in Kidwai Nagar area. He helped generate the required password (OTP) for women and then handed over the registration cards. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi was also present with him at the event.

Earlier, Kejriwal had said that women would not need to go anywhere for registration. Delhi government volunteers will complete this process by going door to door.

Objective and benefits of the scheme
The Delhi government had announced the “Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana” in the budget for the financial year 2024-25. Under this, women aged 18 years or above will be given financial assistance of ₹ 1,000 every month.

However, Kejriwal also announced that if his government comes back to power in the assembly elections to be held in February, this amount will be increased to ₹ 2,100 per month.

How to register and get benefits?

1. After registration, women will be issued a card, which will be necessary to keep safely.
2. The verification process will be completed after the application.
3. If the verification is successful, the beneficiary women will be informed about it through notification.
4. The verification process will be mandatory to get the benefit of the scheme.

Who can take advantage of the scheme?

All women of Delhi will get the benefit of this scheme. However, women of the following categories will remain out of the scope of the scheme:

Women receiving pension from the government.

Women doing government jobs.

Women with annual income more than ₹ 3 lakh.

Women paying income tax.

Documents required for application:

5. Address Proof (like electricity bill, water bill, or ration card)
6. Income Certificate
